Stigma and Bias in Child and Adolescent Obesity: A healthcare providers perspective

Our next article on this World Children’s Day follows our previous piece on a parent’s perspective of childhood obesity from our recent campaign day ‘Living with Obesity’ in collaboration with the Irish Coalition for People Living with Obesity (ICPO) and the European Coalition for People Living with Obesity (ECPO). This time, we are sharing a second piece whereby Dr Grace O’Malley gives her insight on weight stigma and bias from the perspective of a healthcare provider. Read her article here.

“When adults make decisions, they should think about how their decisions will affect children. All adults should do what is best for children. Governments should make sure that people and places responsible for looking after children are doing a good job.”
