ASOI committee member and National Programme Manager for Obesity Karen Gaynor has shared with us the clinical guidance that has been developed from the National Obesity Management Clinical Programme for COVID-19 which has now been approved by the Clinical Advisory Group of the HSE Chief Clinical Officer (CCO). Guidance documents are to be brief, quick reference guides, and this is not intended to replace clinical judgment or specialist consultation but rather to strengthen clinical management of these patients and provide to up-to-date guidance and is subject to ongoing review as new evidence emerges.
